China is celebrating its 80th Victory Day today. On this occasion, the country’s largest military parade was organized in the capital Beijing.
The parade included 100+ weapons, 45+ military troops and 100+ aircraft. Many of these weapons were introduced to the world for the first time.
The special thing about these weapons is that most of them are indigenous. Xi Jinping said in his speech that- these weapons and aircraft show China’s military strength and better technology.
Learn about the special missiles, drones and aircraft joined in China’s parade …
1. China introduced new type 99B main battle tank
China introduced Type 99B Main Battle Tank for the first time in its Victory Day Parade. It is the latest third generation tank of type 99 series.
This type is believed to be an updated version of 99B. It has been included in PLA since 2001. So far, more than 1300 type 99 and 99A tanks have been built.

2. China’s multiple rocket launcher system PhL-16
China showed PHL-16 multiple rocket launcher in its Victory Day Parade. It is also called PCL-191. It is designed to respond to the US High Mobility Artillery Rocket System (Himars).
It was bought and deployed by Taiwan in 2023 from the US. PHL-16 is built by Norinco and it is China’s best rocket launcher system. PHL-16 was first shown at the National Day Parade in 2019.

3. Ajx002 drones running underwater
For the first time in the parade, two major underwater drones of China were shown.

The second drone is almost the same in length, but it is more wide, about 2 to 3 meters. Its name and picture have not been revealed yet.
It has two masts, while there is no mast on AJX002. Analysts believe that they can be equipped with torpedo or mines, or they can only be useful for monitoring (Reiki).
It has ‘X’ size rader and two masts, which makes it different from Ajx002. China’s XLUUV program is the largest in the world, with at least five types of drones already in testing.
4. introduced new missiles to challenge American missiles
For the first time in China’s Victory Day Parade, YJ-15, YJ-17, YJ-19, and YJ-20 missiles were introduced.
These missiles are China’s advanced arms systems to increase China’s naval strength, especially designed to attack ships.
These missiles will serve as a challenge for the US Navy and its associates in the Taiwan Strait and the South China Sea.

5. HQ-29 capable of combating ballistic missiles
China has introduced the Anti-Belistic Missile (ABM) system, HQ-29 for the first time. It is considered the top part of China’s three-level missile defense system.
It is an advanced ballistic missile defense (BMD) and Anti-Satellite weapon system, seen in a video leaked on Chinese social media.

Anti-ballistic missile HQ-29
China introduced many new and air defense systems for the first time with HQ-29:
Eight-wheel HQ-20:
- China has also introduced the HQ-20 air defense system for the first time. It has an eight -wheeler transporter eractor launcher which can carry at least eight interceptors.
- And its design is similar to the HQ-9 system, but it has small interceptors.
HQ-22A capable of penetrating medium-to-long distance:
- Its range is up to 170 km (105 mi). It can penetrate various air goals such as aircraft, missiles and drones.
- Not much information about this is not public, but it is believed that it has the ability to target better electronic counter-corresponding (ECCM) and more goals simultaneously.
HQ-9C long-distance surface-to-hly missile:
- This is the new type of HQ-9 series, which is an upgrade of HQ-9B. It is based on Russia’s S-300 system and its range is more than 250 km (155 mi).
- It uses semi-active radar homeing technology and is capable of preventing aircraft, cruise missiles and tectical ballistic missiles.
HQ-19 anti-ballistic and anti-satellite missile:
- It is designed to destroy medium distance ballistic missiles and low -height satellites. It is similar to America’s Thaad (Terminal High Altitude Area Defense) system.
- This missile can prevent ballistic missiles in the mid-curves and terminal phase. Its flight height is up to 200 km (124 miles) and uses hit-to-cill kinetic vehicles. This is an important part of China’s strategic defense.
HQ-11 Air Defense System:
- The performance also includes HQ-11, which is a mobile small-to-middle distance defense system. It is also known as FM-3000.
- It is designed for terminal point defense, with a vertical launch missile battery LD-3000 with a close-in weapon system.
- Its firepower is 30 km against aircraft and 20 km against missiles.

6. Career based aircraft
Four types of career based aircraft were shown in China’s Victory Day Parade. J-15T, J-15DH, J-15DT and J-35 have been fully developed by China with indigenous technology.
These are the career based fighter jets developed for China’s Navy Plan, which enhances the capabilities of aircraft carriers such as their Liaoning, Shandong, and Fujian

7. CJ-1000 capable of destroying strong bunkers
The CJ-1000 long distance hypersonic cruise missile was shown in China’s Victory Day Parade. It is also known as DF-1000.
Range: The range of CJ-1000 ranges from 2,000 to 4,000 kilometers.
Goal: It can make an accurate attack on the ground bases, strong bunkers, underground facilities and moving warships.
Launch platform: It can be launched in a two -missile pairs from the 10×10 transporter eractor launcher (TEL) vehicle. It can also be launched from the H-6K bomber.

8. DF-26d Guam Killer Anti-Ship Ballistic Missile
The DF-26D killer anti-ship ballistic missile was first seen during the rehearsal of China’s 80th Victory Day Parade. There was not much public information about this
It is a new member of the DF-26 missile family, especially designed to target aircraft carriers, such as military bases in the Pacific region, especially Guam, and naval targets, such as aircraft carriers.
