Ticketkock is a short video sharing app, where users can make and share videos ranging from 15 seconds to 3 minutes. It is known for music, dance, comedy and creative content.
For the last few days, a question has been rising on social media again and again- is the ticket going to return to India? India banned this Chinese app in 2020.
This is because the Chinese company Bite Dance, which operates the short video app ticket, has posted two job opening on LinkedIn for Gurugram office.
Along with this, the tickets website has also started showing somewhat again in India. Let us understand in easy language in this whole matter….
Two reasons for the speculation of Tik-Talk to return to India …
1. Job Posting: In the vacancy that Tik Talk has taken out, there is a post of Bengali -speaking content moderator. Its job will have to check video or content.
At the same time, the second post is the Velbing Partnership and Operations lead. Its work will be seen by users’ safety and platform policy.
2. Website Access: Earlier, when you used to visit the ticket website, a message was seen that ‘this service is not available in India’.
But from last week, the ‘About As’ page of the website started appearing on the desktop. However, the video still cannot be seen. The ticket of ticket was also not available.

Bittens’ job posting may be for other projects
At the same time, experts believe that Bitdens’ job posting may probably be for any other project or global operations in India, not for the return of tickets.
Also, partially access to the ticket website in India may be due to technical disturbances or any other reason.
Government’s reply, ban on tickets still remains intact
Amidst all these speculations, the Government of India says that the ban on ticket lock remains still intact. Talking to the Economic Times, government sources said that the tickets have not been allowed to resume.
On August 22, the government rejected such reports when some people claimed that ticket had to become available again in India after five years.
A spokesperson of the ticket also made a statement that, “We have not restored the reach of tickets in India and are fully followed by the Government of India.” That is, there is no indication from the tickets that he is going to resume his services in India.
Ban O app since India-China military confrontation in Galwan Valley
In June 2020, after a military conflict between India and China in the Galwan Valley, the Government of India banned 59 Chinese apps, including tickets citing national security.
Since that time the ticket is completely closed in India and its app is not available at Google Play Store and Apple Store.

On 15 June 2020, India lost 20 soldiers in a confrontation with China in the Galwan Valley in East Ladakh.
Improvement in India-China relations hoped to return ticket
Since the 50% tariff imposed on American President Dong Trump on India, there have been some signs of improvement in relations between India and China in recent times.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is on a visit to China after more than seven years, which is being considered a step towards reducing tension between the two countries.
Due to this improvement in relations, people are also hopeful that Tick Talk may return to India. Tickeks were so big in India in its time that it made many people a star. After this app, Instagram started the shorts by Rels and YouTube.
Other Bittens’ services in India
Apart from Ticketkalk, other services such as Halo and Capkat were also banned in India in 2020. However, Bittens’ music streaming app Reso and Productivity App Lark were working in India.
As of January 2024, Raso was the largest consumer—face venture of Bittens in India, but due to local market conditions, it also had to be discontinued in January 2024.
A spokesperson of Raco said at the time, “We cannot continue the services of Reso in India due to the local market situation.”
Now Lark is the only service in Bittens in India which is still running.
