This week, there has been a rise in the prices of gold and silver. According to the website of India Bullion and Jewelers Association (IBJA), last Saturday, i.e. on July 27, gold was at Rs 68,131, which has now reached Rs 70,392 per 10 grams (August 3). That is, this week its price has increased by Rs 2,261.
Talking about silver, it was at Rs 81,271 last Saturday, which has now reached Rs 83,501 per kg. Its price has increased by Rs 2,230 this week. This year, silver reached its all-time high of Rs 94,280 per kg on 29 May.

3. SBI’s profit in the first quarter increased by 1% to ₹ 17,035 crores: Income increased by 13.55% to ₹ 1.22 lakh crores, interest income also increased by 5.71%

State Bank of India’s (SBI) standalone net profit in the April-June quarter rose 1% year-on-year to ₹17,035.16 crores. It was ₹16,884 crores in the same quarter last year.
At the same time, the net profit of the bank has also fallen by 17.69% on a quarterly basis. In the last quarter (Q4 FY24), the bank’s profit was Rs 20,698 crore. SBI has released the results of Q1FY25 i.e. the first quarter of the financial year 2024-25 on Saturday (3 August).

4. BOI profit rises 10% to ₹1,702 crore: Income rises 15% to ₹18,240 crore in April-June quarter, interest income also rises 6%

Bank of India’s (BOI) standalone net profit in the April-June quarter rose 10% year-on-year to ₹1,702 crores. It was ₹1,551 crores in the same quarter last year.
At the same time, the net profit of the bank has also increased by 18.27% on a quarterly basis. In the last quarter (Q4 FY24), the bank’s profit was Rs 1,439 crore. BOI has released the results of Q1FY25 i.e. the first quarter of the financial year 2024-25 on Saturday (3 August).
