Bhatia saw Amitabh’s case and suggested immediate operation. Before the operation, Amitabh had 102 fever and his heartbeat became 180 instead of 72. When the operation was done, it was found that the intestines had burst from inside. It was difficult to survive even for 3-4 hours in such conditions, but he was struggling for 4 days. Big B went into coma on the fourth day. Two operations were performed and he was kept in the hospital for two months. Big B was already suffering from asthma, liver problem and pneumonia.
