Actress Kangana Ranaut shared her experience of the night of 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks during the trailer launch of her upcoming film Bharat Bhagya Vidhaata. She told that that night she was at a house party in Mumbai and it was there that she got information about the attack.
It is noteworthy that Kangana’s film ‘Bharat Bhagya Vidhaata’ is based on the story of the nurses and ward boys of Cama Hospital who showed bravery during the 26/11 Mumbai terrorist attacks. Kangana has played the role of a nurse in the film.
Kangana was present at Shahana Goswami’s house
At the trailer launch of the film, Kangana had told that she was present at a party at the house of actress Shahana Goswami at the time of 26/11 attacks. During that time many other people were also with him.
Kangana said that she was working with Mahesh Bhatt and was a struggler in Vishesh films. Shahana Goswami had organized a party at her house on Yari Road, where everyone was present.
Kangana’s first film ‘Gangster’ was produced by Mahesh Bhatt’s company ‘Vishesh Films’.
Mahesh Bhatt stopped him from going out
According to Kangana, during the party, Mahesh Bhatt came inside and asked to turn on the TV. During that time Kangana and others were dancing. Then Mahesh Bhatt told that a terrorist attack has taken place. At the same time, the people present there got information about the attack.
Kangana told that later they discussed whether everyone should go home or not. Mahesh Bhatt advised everyone to stay there and not go out. After this, about 20-25 people stayed at Shahana Goswami’s house.
26/11 Mumbai terrorist attack
There was a terrorist attack in Mumbai on 26 November 2008, which is known as 26/11. 10 Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorists from Pakistan had targeted many places in Mumbai, including railway stations and luxury hotels. 166 people were killed in this attack that lasted for about 60 hours. This attack is counted among the biggest terrorist incidents in the history of India.
The film Bharat Bhagya Vidhaata has been directed by Manoj Tapadia. Apart from Kangana Ranaut, Girija Oak, Smita Tambe, Amrita Namdev, Isha Dey, Priya Berde and Asha Shelar are also in important roles in this film. The film will be released in theaters on June 12, 2026.
