In Kanpur, the woman doctor accused of killing two engineers in the name of growing hair on her head has surrendered in the court. Anushka Tiwari was absconding for 18 days. Police were conducting raids in several states including UP-Bihar, Delhi in search of him.

Anushka Tiwari transplanted engineer Vineet Dubey and Mayank Katiyar. The health of both of them deteriorated only a few hours after the transplant. Both of them were swollen like a balloon and died by both engineers in 24 hours.
The matter came into the limelight when Vineet Dubey’s wife complained on the CM portal. After this, the police officers became active and an FIR was lodged against Dr. Anushka.

Death 1. Facial swelling, chest pain after transplant, death in 24 hours Pramodani Katiyar, who lives in Fatehgarh, says- Son Mayank Katiyar (32) was working in a private company after doing B.Tech from Pranveer Singh Institute of Technology (PSIT). He was preparing to set up his business in Kanpur itself. On November 18, 2024, Mayank went to Dr. Anushka Tiwari of The Imper Clinic in Keshavapuram to get a hair transplant done.
He was called at 8 am, Dr. Anushka left him from his clinic at 2 pm. After the hair transplant, younger son Kushagra brought Mayank to the ancestral home in Fatehgarh at 5 pm. He had a sharp pain in his head at around 12 pm.
Mother Pramodani Katiyar told- After the hair transplant of the son, there was swelling on her face.
When he spoke to Dr. Anushka, he asked to get the injection done. Even after getting the injection, his pain was not cured. On this, he asked to loose the bandage. He groaned with pain all night. The next day, Dr. Anushka was re -approached. Told that Mayank’s face swollen and severe chest pain occurred.
He said take him to a cardiologist. The doctor we reached to, he said that there is no problem related to the heart. Where the hair transplant is done, talk there. During this, Mayank died on 19 November.
After this, for about 6 months, the family members of the engineer kept circling from the police station to the high officials, but there was no hearing. On Tuesday, Mayank’s mother met the Kanpur Police Commissioner and demanded to register an FIR.

Death 2. Eyes came out after treatment, swelling on the face, death At the Panki Power Plant, engineer Vineet Kumar Dubey (37) conducted a hair transplant on 13 March at the Empire Varahi Clinic. His condition deteriorated after the transplant. Relatives admitted him to the Regency Hospital. He died on 14 March during treatment here.
On finding out this, Dr. Anushka Tiwari escaped by closing the clinic and switching off the phone. The engineer’s wife Jaya continued to travel from the police station, outpost, ACP and DCP office to the police commissioner to file a report of the case, but there was no hearing.
Eventually he complained against the doctor on the CM portal along with all audio-videos and other evidence. Then the police registered an FIR.
