Today, 5 major changes are happening since 1 October. This includes changes in the rules of NPS from Aadhaar verification being necessary for online booking of general reservation tickets.
Apart from this, petroleum companies have increased the price of 19 kg commercial gas cylinders by ₹ 16.50. Its price in Delhi increased to ₹ 1595.50.
1. Aadhaar required for General Reservation
Aadhaar verification will be necessary for online booking of General Reservation Ticket. However, it will only be necessary to book tickets in the first 15 minutes of opening the General Reservation on the IRCTC website or app.
After 15 minutes, tickets will be booked without Aadhaar verification. This new change has been brought for the benefit of common travelers. This will stop the blackback of tickets.
2. You will not be able to send request to ask for money from UPI
The National Payments Corporation of India i.e. NPCI has directed to completely discontinue the Peer-to-Pier (P2P) Collect request in UPI from 1 October 2025. This means that now a person will not be able to send a request to ask for money from another person through UPI.
This restriction is only on P2P Collect request. Merchants (eg Flipkart, Amazon, Swigy, or IRCTC) will still be able to use requests to collect payment.
Many people were cheating UPI users with this feature. He used to send people to accidentally transfer money by sending unknown requests. NPCI has taken this decision to stop it.
3. Commercial Gas Cylinder Rs 16.50 expensive
From today, 19 kg commercial gas cylinder has become expensive by ₹ 16.50. Its price in Delhi has increased by Rs 15.50 to ₹ 1595.50. Earlier it was available in ₹ 1580. At the same time, in Kolkata, it will now be costing Rs 16.50 for Rs 1700.50.

4. Speed post service expensive
Speed post service has become expensive from today. India Post has installed new charges for different categories. Along with this, security and facilities have also been improved.
- The goods will be delivered only when the receiver’s OTP is confirmed.
- For OTP based delivery, ₹ 5 Extra + GST per goods will have to be given.
- Real-time status of delivery will be available from SMS.
- Students will get 10% discount, and bulk customers will get 5% discount.
5. NPS will be able to invest the entire amount in the stock market
NPS’s non-government subscribers will now be able to invest their entire amount in the stock market. Till now the equity investment limit in NPS was 75%.
This will benefit those who are ready to take risk in the stock market for more returns. This will give investors a chance to make a big fund till retirement.
