The closing ceremony of the Paris Paralympic Games lasted for 3 hours.
The closing ceremony of the Paris Paralympic Games ended late night on 8 September. 168 Paralympic Committee countries participated in the games which began on 28 August. Around 4400 athletes attended the closing ceremony. Archer Harvinder Singh and athlete Preeti Pal held the Indian flag in the Parade of Nations.
India performed historically in Paris and won 29 medals. These included 7 gold, 9 silver and 13 bronze medals. Athletes won the maximum number of medals i.e. 17. India stood 18th in the medal tally. In Tokyo, the country had won 19 medals including 5 gold, then we stood 24th.
