JDU’s national general secretary and national spokesperson Rajiv Ranjan died of a heart attack. He breathed his last in Delhi. After his health suddenly deteriorated, his son took him to the hospital, where doctors declared him dead.

Rajiv Ranjan was very close to CM Nitish Kumar. He has also been an MLA from Islampur assembly constituency of Nalanda. Before joining politics, he was the chairman of the Electricity Board in MP.
The death of Rajiv Ranjan has caused a great loss to the Janata Dal United. He was counted among the close associates of CM Nitish Kumar. Nitish Kumar had recently given him the responsibility of both the National General Secretary and National Spokesperson.
Last month, the organization was expanded in the JDU National Executive meeting in Delhi. At that time, Rajiv Ranjan was made the National General Secretary. He was also given the role of National Spokesperson.
Before joining politics, Rajiv Ranjan was the chairman of the Electricity Board in MP.
CM Nitish expressed condolences
Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has expressed deep condolences on the demise of Rajiv Ranjan. He said that Rajiv Ranjan was a skilled politician and social worker. His demise has caused irreparable loss in the political and social field. The Chief Minister has prayed to God for eternal peace of the departed soul and to give strength to his family to bear this sorrow.
