Ministers and top officers close to Sheikh Hasina also played a big role behind the coup in Bangladesh. Intelligence reports say that the ‘wrong’ decisions of the Law Minister, Law Secretary, Governor of Bank of Bangladesh, IT Minister and Head of Intelligence Branch inflamed the movement which was dying down.

Restoring mobile internet services and forcibly interrogating agitating students proved very costly for the Hasina government. Some officers of the Bangladesh Army’s intelligence wing DGFI and some cabinet ministers were not loyal to Hasina.

The plot to remove him from the post of PM is a well thought out conspiracy
The plot to remove Sheikh Hasina from the post of Prime Minister was prepared as a well-planned conspiracy. The first phase of the student movement between 15-20 July was effectively controlled by the army and police. Mobile internet was down and prominent student leaders were taken into custody.

Opposition parties were being accused of misleading the students. That is, everything was under control. But, on July 28, mobile internet service was restored. If it had remained closed for another week, the movement would have died down. However, the IT Minister restored the service without asking Hasina, which had a terrible result.

Bangladesh Army’s intelligence wing DGFI had recorded calls of ministers, senior officials and opposition leaders of Sheikh Hasina government just before the coup. These call records, which were obtained by Bhaskar, clearly show that the protests were triggered by wrong decisions.

In this video viral on social media, it was claimed that Sheikh Hasina had left Dhaka in a Bangladesh Army helicopter.

If he (PM’s advisor) refuses or says that you take your own decision, and bear whatever trouble comes yourself, then I am ready for that too, but then he will not mention the Prime Minister’s instructions.
Tafazul: Why don’t you come to Gano Bhawan (PM residence) today at 12.30 pm?
Junaid: There is nothing left to discuss about this. In such a situation, the decision has to be taken by them.
Tafazzul: I cannot answer their supplementary questions. If you don’t come, there will be no one there.

In Bangladesh, students were protesting against reservation. According to intelligence reports, agents of Pakistan’s intelligence agency ISI infiltrated the protest and caused violence.
