On 6 April 2025, there was a grenade attack on Azimgarh police post in Kaithal. In this case, Guhla police has registered a case against 3 including terrorist Happy Pasiyan.
Police have arrested two youths from Punjab in connection with throwing a grenade at Azimgarh post of Kaithal district in Haryana. The accused have been identified as Gurpreet, resident of Nanhera village, Patiala, and Harmanpreet, resident of Gurdayalpura. Police arrested both the accused

Interrogation revealed that on April 6, 2025, Gurpreet had thrown a grenade at the post. During that time, Harmanpreet made a video of the incident and sent it to Karan of Gurpreet’s village. Karan is associated with terrorist organization Babbar Khalsa International (BKI) and is in touch with Happy Pasiyan and Zeeshan Akhtar.
He also told that Karan had also sent this video to Happy Pasiyan and Zeeshan Akhtar sitting in America, after which BKI took responsibility of this attack. Karan currently lives in America. He went there via the donkey route.

There was confusion regarding the name of the post On April 6, Azimgarh police post in Kaithal district located on the Punjab-Haryana border was attacked with a grenade in the morning. Terrorist organization Babbar Khalsa International (BKI) had taken responsibility for this attack and had also issued a post in this regard on social media. There was confusion earlier regarding the name of the police post. The organization had claimed that they had carried out a grenade attack on the Jingarh police post, whereas the actual name of the post was Azimgarh.
FIR was lodged against 3 terrorists
After the terrorists’ post, Haryana and Punjab Police reached the spot and investigated. However, not much damage was found there. From there some samples of ash and soil were sent to the lab for testing. Investigation revealed that explosive material had been used here. After this, an FIR was registered at Guhla police station against BKI terrorists Happy Pasiyan, Gopi Nawanshariya and Mannu Agwan who claimed responsibility for the grenade attack.

Kaithal boy caught by police Kaithal police took action and arrested a teenager from Chhaut village. Kishore had told during interrogation that Hardik Kamboj of Yamunanagar was also involved with him in this matter. Hardik was arrested by Punjab Police in connection with the grenade attack in Jalandhar.
On April 17, 2025, American agency FBI arrested Happy Pasiyan. He has not been brought to India yet.
Amritsar resident Happy Pasiyan, NIA offers Rs 5 lakh reward Happy Pasian, the accused in the grenade attack on the post in Kaithal, is a resident of Pasian village located near Ajnala in Amritsar. He started his criminal career in association with gangster Jaggu Bhagwanpuria and his US-based associates. Later, he became an associate of Pakistan-based terrorist Harvinder Rinda.
Happy Pasiyan was the main handler of the ISI-backed terrorist module in Punjab. Between 2023 and 2025, he played a key role in activities like target killings, grenade attacks on police stations and extortion across the state.
In January 2025, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) had announced a reward of Rs 5 lakh on Happy Pasiyan. He was declared wanted in the Chandigarh grenade attack case. He has been included in the ‘wanted’ list along with his photograph on the NIA website.
