Voting will start from 7 am today on 90 assembly seats in 22 districts in Haryana. There are 10 such VIP seats in the state, on which everyone’s eyes are fixed. Big faces are contesting elections on these seats. Acting Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini from Ladwa, Garhi Sampla from Kiloi

Similarly, Vinesh Phogat, who came into politics after being disqualified from Paris Olympics, is contesting from Julana, former deputy CM Dushyant Chautala from Uchan and the country’s richest woman Savitri Jindal is contesting from Hisar.
The election process will continue till 6 pm. The result will come on 8th October.

Ladwa: Acting Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini is contesting the elections.
On March 12, 2024, BJP replaced Manohar Lal Khattar and made Kurukshetra MP Nayab Singh Saini the Chief Minister. After this, on May 25, BJP made Naib Saini contest the by-election from Karnal Assembly seat and he won. In the 2024 assembly elections, BJP has given ticket to Naib Saini from Ladwa assembly seat of Kurukshetra district.
Congress’s Mewa Singh is his candidate. He comes from Jat community. Saini community has maximum votes in Ladwa seat. In the 2019 assembly elections, Mewa Singh of Congress had won this seat. Then he defeated BJP candidate Dr. Pawan Saini.

Garhi Sampla Kiloi: Former Chief Minister Bhupendra Singh Hooda is contesting the elections.
Former Haryana Chief Minister Bhupendra Singh Hooda is contesting from Garhi Sampla Kiloi assembly seat of Rohtak district. In front of him, BJP has given ticket to Zilla Parishad Chairperson Manju Hooda. Jat community has maximum votes on this seat. Bhupendra Hooda also comes from this community. Hooda has been winning elections on this seat for 5 consecutive times. If this time Congress gets full majority in the assembly elections, then he is a strong contender for the chief ministerial post.

Julana: Wrestler Vinesh Phogat is contesting elections
Vinesh Phogat retired from wrestling after being disqualified in the Paris Olympics 2024. She joined Congress after the announcement of assembly elections in the state. After this Congress gave him ticket from Julana. Vinesh’s in-laws house is in Bakhta Kheda village of Julana. In front of him, BJP has given ticket to Captain Yogesh Bairagi, INLD-BSP to Dr. Surendra Lather and JJP has given ticket to Amarjeet Dhanda.
In 2019, Amarjeet Dhanda had won this seat. Congress is facing a drought of about 15 years on this seat. The last time Sher Singh of Congress had won in 2005.

Uchana Kalan: Dushyant Chautala and Brijendra Singh face to face
Former Deputy CM and JJP leader Dushyant Chautala is contesting from Uchana Kalan assembly seat of Jind district. In front of him is former Congress MP Brijendra Singh. BJP has given ticket to Devendra Attri here. Apart from this, Congress rebel Virendra Ghoghadian is also contesting the elections here. In the 2019 assembly elections, Dushyant Chautala had won by a record 47,452 votes. Then he defeated BJP candidate Premlata Singh. Premlata Singh is the mother of Brijendra Singh. There is a tussle going on between Chaudhary Birendra Singh and Dushyant Chautala regarding Uchana seat.

Hisar: Country’s richest woman Savitri Jindal is rebelling against BJP and contesting elections.
Savitri Jindal, the country’s richest woman who has rebelled against BJP, is contesting the Hisar assembly seat as an independent candidate. He was the Chairman of Jindal Group. She is the wife of OP Jindal. BJP has made former minister Dr. Kamal Gupta its candidate here. Congress has given ticket to Ramnivas Rada. Savitri Jindal’s son Naveen Jindal is a BJP MP from Kurukshetra.
After the death of OP Jindal in 2005, Savitri Jindal became MLA on Congress ticket in the by-election held on Hisar seat. After this, Savitri Jindal also won the assembly elections held in 2009 and was made Minister of State in the government of Bhupendra Singh Hooda. Savitri Jindal also contested the assembly elections in 2014 on Congress ticket, but lost. After this he distanced himself from politics. She was seeking ticket from BJP in this election.

Ateli: Aarti Rao, daughter of Union Minister of State Rao Inderjit, is contesting the elections.
Aarti Rao, daughter of Union Minister of State and BJP MP from Gurugram Rao Inderjit Singh, is contesting from Ateli assembly seat in Mahendragarh district. BJP made Aarti’s political debut here by cutting the ticket of former MLA Sitaram Yadav. This is his first assembly election. In front of him, Congress has given ticket to Anita Yadav and INLD-BSP has given ticket to Thakur Attar Lal. Thakur Attar Lal stood second in the last assembly elections. BJP has been winning this seat for two consecutive elections. Anita Yadav of Congress had won on Congress ticket in 2009.

Ambala Cantt: Former Home Minister Anil Vij is contesting elections
Former Home Minister Anil Vij is contesting from Ambala Cantt Assembly seat. Congress’s Parvinder Singh Pari is in the fray in front of him. Apart from this, Congress rebel Chitra Sarwara is contesting the elections as an independent. Anil Vij has become MLA from Cantt assembly seat 6 times. He is a big Punjabi face of Haryana. He was a minister in both the terms of Manohar Lal Khattar’s government. After Nayab Saini became the Chief Minister, he did not join the cabinet. Recently Vij has staked claim for the post of Chief Minister.

Tosham: Conflict between grandchildren of former Chief Minister Bansilal
BJP’s Shruti Chaudhary is contesting from Tosham assembly seat of Bhiwani district. She is the granddaughter of former Chief Minister Chaudhary Bansilal. Congress has given ticket to Anirudh Chaudhary, son of Bansi Lal’s elder son Ranbir Mahendra. The contest remains interesting because cousins and sisters are facing each other on this seat. Shruti’s mother Kiran Chaudhary had been becoming MLA on this seat for three consecutive terms on Congress ticket. After the Lok Sabha elections in the year 2024, Shruti Chaudhary and Kiran Chaudhary joined BJP.

Sirsa: Gopal Kanda, who came into limelight due to air hostess suicide case, is contesting elections.
Haryana Lokhit Party (HLP) supremo Gopal Kanda is contesting from Sirsa seat. Congress has challenged Late, who was a 5-time MLA from this seat, in front of him. Gokul Setia, grandson of Laxman Das Arora, has been given the ticket. BJP had given ticket to Rohtash Jangra here. Rohtash had withdrawn his nomination on the last day of withdrawal of nominations. There is talk that BJP is supporting Gopal Kanda here.
Gopal Kanda had won this seat in the 2019 assembly elections. Then independent Gokul Setia gave him a tough fight. Setia lost the election by just 602 votes.

Adampur: Bhavya Bishnoi, grandson of former Chief Minister Bhajan Lal, is contesting the elections.
Bhavya Bishnoi, grandson of former Chief Minister Chaudhary Bhajanlal, is contesting the elections from Adampur assembly seat of Hisar district on BJP ticket. Bhajanlal family has been winning this seat since 1967. Congress has given ticket to former IAS officer Chandraprakash here. Kuldeep Bishnoi became MLA from this seat in the 2019 assembly elections.
After clashes with Congress, he resigned from assembly membership and joined BJP. When by-elections were held on this seat in 2022, BJP candidate Bhavya Bishnoi won this seat.
