A 20-year-old youth from Karnal district of Haryana died of a heart attack in America. The young man used to work at a store in Sacramento city of America. Even on the day of the incident, he returned to Roop after finishing his duty, had dinner and went to sleep.

When his friends came to pick him up before the night shift started, the door of the room was locked from inside. When no response was received even after calling several times, they broke the door. They were shocked to see the young man lying unconscious inside. Friends immediately rushed him to the hospital, where doctors declared him dead.
After this, friends informed the family about this. According to the family, the young man had gone to Canada two years ago after selling two acres of land. After staying in Canada for a few days, he went to America. The family had talked to him two days before his death. The young man had said- Don’t worry, I will pay off all the debts.
The family is shocked by the death of their son. The family has appealed to the government, the Ministry of External Affairs and the Indian community living in America to help in bringing the son’s body to India, so that the son can get the land of the country.

The complete story of the young man’s journey from India to America…
- First went to Canada, then to America through the donkey route: The deceased youth Supandeep Singh was a resident of village Sekhpura Manchuri in Karnal district. Uncle Gurdev Singh told that the family had sent Supandeep Singh to Canada about two years ago in search of a better future. After staying in Canada for a few days, he reached America through the Donkey Route.
- Money was raised by selling 2 acres of land: According to Gurdev Singh, the family had sold about 2 acres of their land to send Supandeep to Canada. While living in Canada, the nephew worked at many places, but due to not getting good money, he went to America. Presently he was working at a store in Sacramento city of America. He lived on rent with some youths from Karnal living in Sacramento city.
- Returned to the room after night shift: Gurdev Singh told that Supandeep used to work in night shift. Even on the day of the incident, he had returned home in the morning after finishing his duty. After this he went to sleep after having food. In the evening, when his friends knocked on the door of the room, it was locked from inside.
- Friends who arrived after breaking the gate found him unconscious: IWhen the youth did not get any response even after calling out several times, they broke the door. When I went inside I saw that Supandeep was lying unconscious. He was immediately taken to the hospital, where doctors declared him dead. Doctors have initially declared heart attack as the cause of death.

- Father also died 9 years ago: Gurdev Singh told that Supandeep’s father Gurdeep Singh had died about 9 years ago. The family consists of his mother and an elder sister, who is married. After his father’s death, Supandeep was raised by his uncle and grandparents. The family’s hopes were pinned on him.
- Two days before his death he had said – I will pay off all the debts: According to family members, Supandeep had talked to his family on phone two days before his death. While talking to his mother, grandparents and uncle, he told them not to worry about anything. He will work hard and pay off all the debts of the family and will also buy back the land that was sold. Remembering these words, the family is in a bad state and crying.
- Appeal made to bring dead body to India: The family is in deep shock after Supandeep’s death. The family members have appealed for help from the Central, State Government, External Affairs Ministry, social organizations and the Indian community living in America. The family wants Supandeep’s body to be brought to India as soon as possible so that his mother, sister and other family members can have a last rites and he can be cremated as per customs.
