सुपरस्टार थलापति विजय ने एक्टिंग से लिया संन्यास: आखिरी फिल्म ‘जन नायकन’ के ऑडियो लॉन्च पर किया ऐलान

Actor Thalapathy Vijay has announced his retirement from his acting career. He has decided to say goodbye to films after a long film career of 33 years. Vijay started his career as a child artist at the age of 10 with the Tamil film Vetri. At the age of 18, he debuted as a hero in the film Naalaiya Theerpu (1992).

Vijay made this announcement during the audio launch of director H. Vinod’s film Jana Nayakan in Malaysia on 27 December 2025. He is currently 51 years old and Jan Nayakan will be his last film. He clearly said from the stage that now he will concentrate completely on politics.

He told that last year he had formed his political party Tamilaga Vetri Kazhagam and now his party will also contest the Tamil Nadu Assembly elections to be held in 2026. Vijay: Now he will focus completely on politics.

Tamilaga Vetri Kazhagam was founded by Vijay on 2 February 2024.

Addressing the fans, Vijay said, “Only one thing matters to me. People come to the theater and stand in queues for me. So I want to stand for them for the next 30-33 years. It is for these fans of mine that I am retiring from cinema.”

He further said that from the first day of his career he had to face all kinds of criticism. Despite this, his fans always stood with him. Vijay said that he will never forget the love and support he received for 33 years.

Let us tell you that after Vijay’s 2015 film Puli, none of his films flopped. Films like Beast (2022), Warisu (2023) and The Greatest of All Time (GOAT, 2024) received mixed reviews but did well at the box office.
