There was an explosion in the Syrian capital Damascus on Tuesday during the visit of French President Emmanuel Macron. This blast took place near the hotel where arrangements were made for Macron’s stay. According to media reports, local people heard several explosions simultaneously. Smoke was also seen rising from the area in videos surfaced on social media. Immediately after the blast, security agencies closed the surrounding roads and cordoned off the entire area.
