According to the police, Hadi Alodid, the accused in the stabbing incident, had come from Sudan to Paris and then to Dublin. In 2023 he reached Belfast and sought asylum. Sudanese shopkeepers in the Sandy Row area closed their shops early. The Belfast Islamic Center stopped evening prayers. Elon Musk also supported the demonstration. Veteran businessman Elon Musk also shared a video of himself on social media and said – Only a strong demonstration will bring change. Britain’s radical party Reform UK reiterated its party’s call for a visa ban, calling the incident a result of migration policy.
