A neighbor of Morbi in Gujarat, fed up with the car’s continuous siren, set the car on fire. During interrogation, the accused told that the siren used to sound every time he touched the car. After the complaint in this case, the police have taken the accused into custody.

The matter is of Waghpara area. According to the complaint by lawyer Pushpa Bhatt, on October 28, at around 4:45 pm, his Swift car was parked near his house when his neighbor Shikhar Gohel poured petrol from a bottle and set the car on fire. The accused also recorded the entire incident on his mobile phone. This entire incident was captured in the nearby CCTV camera.

It can be seen in the CCTV footage that accused Shikhar Gohel came near the Swift car with a bottle and sprinkled petrol on its bonnet and front part. After this, they lit matchsticks and set the car on fire.
As soon as the fire broke out, the accused stood at a short distance and started making videos with his mobile camera. Despite the movement of people on the road, he continued making videos without any worry. Within no time the car burst into flames. After this, accused Shikhar sat in another car and left from there.
Morbi DSP J.M. Aal said-
A woman lawyer’s car parked near her house in Waghpara Street No. 17 was set on fire. After the complaint was registered, the police took immediate action and took the accused Shikhar Gohel into custody. Further investigation is underway.
Loss estimated at ₹3.50 lakh
According to the complaint of the woman lawyer, there was a loss of ₹3.50 lakh due to the fire in the car. During interrogation, the accused neighbor confessed that being fed up with the continuous beeping of the car’s sensor, he poured petrol from a bottle and set the car on fire.
Accused Shikhar Gohel has been taken into custody by the police.
Second incident in two days
A day earlier, a car parked at Anupam Society, Ravapar Road, Morbi was set on fire by two unidentified persons at night. No complaint has been filed yet in connection with that incident. CCTV footage of both the incidents is viral on social media.
