South actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu and her husband Raj Nidimoru are going to become parents soon. A traditional ‘Seemantam’ (baby shower) ceremony was organized for Samantha, who was going to be a mother for the first time.

In this ceremony, Samantha is seen wearing a garland of flowers and performing puja and anointment under Srividya tradition. During this, her husband Raj Nidimoru was also seen taking part in the rituals with her.

In the ritual, the pregnant woman is energized with holy water and mantras.

In the ceremony, Samantha is seen wearing a garland of flowers and performing puja as per Srividya tradition.

‘Seemantam’ ritual performed according to Srividya tradition Samantha told that this ceremony was organized according to Tamil and Telugu traditions. Samantha was seen sitting in an open space wearing a light orange suit and a garland of flowers around her neck.

The priests anointed them with holy water while chanting Vedic mantras and blessed them by placing their hands on the head. Samantha said that although she does not understand the full meaning of each ritual, she has always been full of respect for the positive energy generated by the chanting of mantras and these traditions that have been passed down for generations.

After Abhishek, the actress sat in the center of ‘Shri Chakra Yantra’.

Flowers were offered to Samantha during the puja.

‘Mother was considered as a goddess in the ritual’ Sharing the post on Instagram, Samantha wrote that in the ceremony, the Srividya Upasak priest explained the meaning of every ritual. He said that 94 arts of the Goddess are honored through the ‘Kala Vapar’ (Sri Kalpam) ritual.

Under this, the seven chakras of the pregnant woman are energized with holy water and mantras. Samantha said that the most special thing about this ritual was that the mother-to-be was seen as a goddess and sacred creator herself, who was going to give birth to a new life.

During the puja, her husband Raj Nidimoru was also seen taking part in the rituals with her.

Chanting while sitting in the center of Shri Chakra Yantra Describing the next stage of the puja, Samantha wrote that after the consecration, the mother-to-be is made to sit in the center of the ‘Shri Chakra Yantra’. This yantra is made up of nine covers that represent different stages of the spiritual journey.

During the recitation of Devi Khadgamala, the names of the divine powers associated with the nine circles were chanted. According to Samantha, this process brings blessings of turning the mind inward and protection of both the baby and the mother.

Samantha and filmmaker Raj Nidimoru got married last year.
