There was a massive explosion and fire in a tire factory late Sunday evening in Sheikhpura industrial area of Saharanpur district of Uttar Pradesh. According to the information, there was a sudden explosion in the boiler of the factory during welding work. The explosion was so strong that panic spread in the surrounding area and a cloud of black smoke started rising from the factory premises.
Seven laborers were working in the factory at the time of the incident. Two laborers sustained severe burn injuries and died on the spot, while the other five laborers were taken out safely with the help of police and fire brigade. The injured have been admitted to the nearest private hospital.

According to sources, the factory where this accident took place was inaugurated only on October 19, in which prominent people like Industrial Development Minister Jaswant Saini and Acharya Pramod Krishnan attended. After the accident, several fire brigade vehicles reached the spot to extinguish the fire in the factory and after a lot of effort the fire was brought under control.
SP City Vyom Bindal told that this factory is located in Sheikhpura Kadim area of Dehat Kotwali area of police station. Police and forensic team reached the spot and started investigation. In the preliminary investigation, it is believed that the explosion occurred due to excessive pressure in the boiler or technical fault. The bodies of both the deceased have been sent for post-mortem. The administration has ordered a thorough investigation into the causes of the accident.
