The fifth season of ‘Shark Tank India’ is on air from January 5 on Sony Liv. In the latest episode of the show, two friends from Delhi, Vikas Dahiya and Praveen Mishra came to pitch their men’s innerwear brand ‘PantyG’.

The sharks present on the panel, Aman Gupta, Anupam Mittal, Namita Thapar, Mohit Yadav and Kunal Bahl, made fun of him while listening to this pitch.

In fact, the sharks started laughing after hearing the brand’s tagline ‘Andar ki baat hogi sundar’. Shark Mohit jokingly asked if they would make Anupam Mittal their brand ambassador. On this the pitchers said- ‘Absolutely.’ He will also suit, the most unique and stylish.

On this answer, Anupam laughed and said – ‘I will kill you by throwing you.’ After this, the other founders went ahead and said that any shark can become a brand ambassador because everyone wears underwear.

At the same time, Aman Gupta raised questions on the brand name ‘Pantygee’ and said that this name sounds like ‘fantasy’.

To this the contestant replied, ‘With due respect sir, there is nothing in the name. Technically, boat is not even a name for audio. Giving the example of Aman’s own brand Boat, he said that if they also start selling mobile phones, that too will be accepted.

The contestant also told that 80 percent of the brand’s customers are men and 20 percent are women. After hearing the sales figures, Shark admitted that these figures were not very impressive. Aman Gupta excluded himself from the conversation. Then slowly the rest of the sharks also withdrew their hands.

However, this is not the first time that pitchers have been called out and made fun of or the pitchers of the show have been treated like this.

When Ashneer Grover was a judge on the show, he often got angry at the contestants. Sometimes he also used foul language with the contestants. Once during a pitch, he even called a contestant a double entendre.

Anupam Mittal has also misbehaved with the contestants many times. In Season 2 of Shark Tank India, Anupam got very angry during the pitch of a spice brand. And a check worth more than one crore rupees was torn and thrown away.
