The tension between the US and Venezuela is increasing. Two Vengeuela fighter fighter aircraft flew over the US Waraship USA Jason Dunham in the Caribbean Sea on Thursday.
The US criticized the move and said that Venezuela is trying to show strength. The US Department of Defense, in a late night statement, warned Venezuela that he would further be ready to suffer the consequences of such provocative acts.
Dunham is a guided-Misile Destroor Warship, which was posted by the US near Venezuela last week. According to the US, the ship has been deployed to target drugs and criminal organizations.
After the incident, the Pentagon posted on social media X and warned that if the cartel, who runs Venezuela, would try to obstruct the US Army drugs and anti -terrorism operations, the consequences would be serious.
Venezuela threatened America from American F-16
The relations between the US and Venezuela were quite good 40 years ago. In 1982, there was an agreement between Venezuela and American company Lockheed Martin on 24 F-16 fighter jets. Their delivery took place between 1982 and 1985. This was the first time F-16 was given to a Latin American country.
Initially, the US also used to maintain these aircraft and upgrade. After 2000, when Hugo Chavez and then Nicholas Maduro Venezuela came to power, its relations with the US deteriorated.

The US in 2006 imposed arms ban on Venezuela, due to which Venezuela could no longer buy American spare parts for its F-16. Due to this, most F-16 jets are gradually deteriorating and their use is limited.
Officially Venezuela now has 5 to 6 f-16 which is capable of flying. The rest are either in storage or junk. Venezuela also tried to seek help from Russia and Iran to upgrade them, but F-16 is American technology, so it became difficult to upgrade completely.
Controversy between America-Vennajuela in Trump government increased
President Donald Trump launched this naval campaign to strictly on drug cartel. For this reason, more tension has increased in the relationship between the two countries.
The administration of US President Donald Trump has accused President Maduro of meeting drug cartelons and with his help smuggling drugs in the US and its areas. The US has increased the reward to $ 50 million on Maduro’s arrest.
However, the Venezuela government has dismissed these allegations outright and denied any kind of relationship. Last week, when the US sent its warships in the coastal region of Venezuela, Maduro called it a ‘criminal and bloody threat’.
Maduro is constantly saying that the presence of the US Navy in the Caribbean Sea is an attempt to change power. He has promised that if the US attacked, they will organize and retaliate the country.
Earlier on Tuesday, the US Army destroyed a speedboat in an air strike in Caribbean. Trump said that the boat belonged to a criminal organization associated with Maduro and 11 people were killed in it. This was criticized by Venezuela. Read full news here …
