Who is V Narayanan?

  • Dr. V Narayanan joined ISRO in 1984. For the first 4 and a half years he worked at Vikram Sarabhai Space Center (VSSC).
  • Here he worked in the operations area of ​​Sounding Rocket, Augmented Satellite Launch Vehicle (ASLV), Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV).
  • Completed M.Tech in Cryogenic Engineering from IIT Kharagpur in 1989. Then started work in Liquid Propulsion Systems Center (LPSC).
  • Under his guidance, LPSC delivered 183 liquid propulsion systems and control power plants for various ISRO missions.
  • He was the director of the C25 cryogenic project of the GSLV Mk III vehicle. Under his leadership the team successfully developed the C25 stage.
  • He supervised the construction of the PSLV second and fourth stages and also designed the control power plants for PSLV C57.
  • Aditya Spacecraft also contributed to the propulsion systems for the GSLV Mk-III missions, Chandrayaan-2 and Chandrayaan-3.

ISRO scientist Dr. Narayanan has been honored with many awards and honors. These include Silver Medal from IIT Kharagpur, Gold Medal from Astronautical Society of India (ASI) and National Design Award from NDRF.
