Vinesh’s hopes of winning silver medal in Paris Olympics are still alive. However, a decision will be taken today on whether she will get the medal or not. In fact, after being disqualified, India’s star wrestler Vinesh Phogat has appealed to CAS (Court of Arbitration for Sport). She has appealed against being disqualified. She has said that she should be given a joint silver medal. Along with this, she had also sought permission to play the final match, which was rejected.

Now a decision has to be taken on Vinesh’s demand for silver medal. CAS has asked for time till Thursday morning to give its final decision. The Court of Sports Affairs will give its decision at around 11:30 am. If CAS gives its decision in favor of Vinesh, then IOC will have to jointly give silver medal to Vinesh. That is, Vinesh will have to be jointly given silver medal along with the wrestler who lost in the final match of 50 kg women’s wrestling.
