Punjab’s Prabhsimran and Harnoor made an opening partnership of 166 runs in 21 overs.

The teams of Vidarbha and Punjab have entered the semi-finals of Vijay Hazare Trophy. Vidarbha defeated Delhi by 76 runs in Bengaluru on Tuesday. Whereas Punjab registered a victory of 183 runs over Madhya Pradesh. This is Punjab’s biggest win in this tournament.

The semi-final matches of the domestic ODI tournament will be played on January 15 and 16 at the BCCI Center of Excellence in Bengaluru. The first match will be played between Vidarbha and Karnataka. Whereas, the second semi-final match will be played between Saurashtra and Punjab.

3rd: MP vs Punjab; Fifty of 4 batsmen from Punjab Madhya Pradesh captain Venkatesh Iyer won the toss and chose to bowl on the first ground of BCCI Center of Excellence. Punjab scored 345 runs for 6 wickets. Captain Prabhsimran Singh (88 runs), Anmolpreet Singh (70 runs), Nehal Wadhera (56 runs) and Harnoor Singh (51 runs) played half-centuries. Tripuresh Singh and captain Venkatesh Iyer took two wickets each for Madhya Pradesh.

In reply, Madhya Pradesh team was out for 162 runs in 31.2 overs. The team had a bad start. In his 17th over, 5 wickets had fallen for 66 runs. Rajat Patidar was out after scoring 38 runs in 40 balls when the score was 132 runs for 7 wickets. Apart from Patidar, Tripuresh Singh scored 31 runs. For Punjab, Sanveer Singh took three wickets for 31 runs in six overs.

Fourth: Vidarbha vs Delhi: Half-centuries from Yash Rathore and Atharva Tayde Batting first, Vidarbha scored 300 runs for 7 wickets on the second ground of BCCI Center of Excellence. Yash Rathore contributed 86 runs and opener Atharva Tayde contributed 62 runs. In reply, Delhi was out for 224 runs in 45.1 overs.

He missed captain Rishabh Pant and vice-captain Ayush Badoni. Pant is injured, while Badoni is in the Indian team for the ODI series against New Zealand. Nachiket Bhute took 4 wickets from Vidarbha. Captain Harsh Dubey got three wickets. Delhi’s wicketkeeper batsman Anuj Rawat scored 66 runs. However, he could not make the team win.
