America has offered to help India in the investigation of the car blast in Delhi on November 10. However, Secretary of State Marco Rubio said that Indian authorities are handling the investigation in a very professional manner.
Speaking to reporters after the G-7 foreign ministers’ meeting in Canada, Rubio said, “We have offered help, but I think they are very capable in these investigations. They don’t need our help and they are doing a good job.”
Earlier, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar had met Rubio on the sidelines of the G-7 meeting. The two leaders discussed bilateral and global issues, including the Delhi blasts.
Jaishankar had said, “Thank him for his condolences on those who lost their lives in the Delhi blasts. Discussed bilateral relations, especially on trade and supply chains. Shared views on Ukraine conflict, Middle East/West Asia and Indo-Pacific.”
He had told that the capital is on high alert and investigation into terrorist connections is going on. Earlier this week, America had said that it is monitoring the situation in Delhi and will provide help if needed.
