He wrote on social media, ‘Trump is threatening war with an American city. Illinoy is not afraid of any fear. ‘ Trump has previously deployed national guards at Los Angeles and Washington DC and has now said to target cities like Chicago, Baltimore, New Orleans and Portland.
He says that he wants to stop crime and illegal immigration in these cities. However, Chicago mayor and governor have strongly opposed this and threatened legal action against the Trump administration.
Trump claimed that he had an unlimited right to send a National Guard and he could do so to protect the country from danger. But local leaders and experts are considering the move as illegal and against democracy.
