The Israeli army on Monday bombed the Nasir Hospital at Khan Younis in which 21 people, including 5 journalists, doctors and rescuers, were killed. Mohammad Salama, photographer of Al Jazeera, was also killed in it.
The Health Ministry reported that the attack was a double-tap attack, with two consecutive goals attacks. The first attack took place on the top floor of the building, which was attacked a few minutes later.
This made the rescue work more dangerous. In Israeli attacks, at least 61 people have been killed in Gaza since Monday morning, in which seven people were killed in an attempt to seek help.
According to the Committee to Protect Journalists (CPJ), the Israel-Hamas struggle has so far killed a total of 192 journalists. Whereas in some media reports, more than 200 journalists have been killed. So far, only 18 journalists have died in Russia-Ukraine War as compared to this war.
Al Jazeera condemned the attack and said that it is “trying to suppress the truth”. The Palestinian Journalists Association called it an open war against the media. The United Nations special envoy Franceska Albaniz said, ‘Every moment there are incidents in Gaza, which are often hidden from the eyes of the world. Countries should take steps to stop this.
Gaza’s Health Ministry said that 62,686 Palestinians have been killed in this war so far. According to estimates, about half of the dead are women and children.
