A 5.7 magnitude earthquake occurred in Sulawesi, Indonesia on Sunday. German Research Center for Geochenses (GFZ) said that The epicenter of the earthquake was at a depth of 10 km (6.2 mi).
No information has been reported by someone’s casualties or losses. Officials are monitoring the situation.
Earlier on Tuesday, there was a 6.3 magnitude earthquake in the eastern Papua region of Indonesia. According to the US Geological Survey, its center was located about 193 km north-west from the city of Abepura in Papua.
This archipelago is part of the ‘Ring of Fire’ of the Pacific Ocean, there are frequent seismic activities due to collision of tectonic plates.
