- Interested in sports since childhood, won many medals: Amrik Singh told that his father Baljinder Singh has died. Father was a lineman in the electricity board. The family consists of him, his elder brother Gurpreet Singh and mother Narinder Kaur. He has been interested in sports since childhood. He was not limited to just one game. She also participated in athletics competitions like Discus Throw, Javelin Throw, Hammer Throw and won gold, silver and bronze medals.
- Seen raising a cause for the first time in the games of Kila Raipur: Amrik told that he has also performed on prestigious stages like Qila Raipur. It is also known as Mini Olympics. It was here that for the first time he saw a man lifting weights with both ears. Looking at the person, he thought that he too could lift weight with his ears. After this he started lifting weights from his ears. First five kilos, then ten kilos and the weight kept increasing like this.
- The car and the small elephant started pulling the vehicle with its ears: Amrik told that as his capacity to lift weight with his ears increased, he also started pulling a car and a small elephant vehicle with his ears. People were surprised to see this. People started inviting him to many sports competitions. I would go there and surprise everyone by lifting weights from my ear.
- People said – he has gone mad, father became inspiration: Amrik told that after this he decided to do something big. Now started lifting more weight from one ear only. Seeing this, people would call me crazy and say, look what kind of hobby I have developed. Many times I used to get discouraged after listening to people’s words. But, father always encouraged me. They used to say that one day people here will praise you.
- No record of lifting weight from ear was found: According to Amrik, one day in the year 2018, he heard about the Guinness Book of Records on TV. When I inquired, I found out that there is no record of lifting weight by ear. It came to my mind that if a record has to be made then it should be such that others have to think to reach that level. Then what happened next, he started lifting more weight than his ears.
- Spent more than Rs 5 lakh on diet, training and fitness: Amrik Singh told that he started trying to achieve his world record in 2018. For this, he spent more than Rs 5 lakh on his diet, training and fitness. The year came 2024, I started lifting weight up to 80 kg with my ears. Meanwhile, in November 2024, I also got a call from India’s Got Talent. But, my target was Guinness Book of World Records. That’s why I didn’t go.

- Life’s dream came true in the year 2025: Amrik tells that I was lifting more than 80 kg. That much weight is a lot for one ear. After this I contacted the Guinness Book people. He asked me to make my video and send it. On May 23, 2025, I lifted 84.580 kg weight in 14.47 seconds with the help of a clamp from one ear and sent it to Elite Book people. His team examined this video and then came here and examined it themselves. After this he gave me the Guinness World Records certificate.
