An administration official said that efforts will be made to start the postmortem process from 8 am on Thursday. The funeral will take place at Julana in Jind at 12 o’clock. This is the native village of ASI Sandeep Lather. Considering the urgency of the occasion, elaborate arrangements have been made in Ladhaut, PGI and Julana.

FIR not made public Under pressure from the family, an FIR was registered against the wife of late IPS Y Puran Kumar, IAS officer Amneet P Kumar and other family members. Family adamant on demanding copy of FIR till late night The family members and villagers of ASI Sandeep remained adamant on the demand of giving the FIR copy from the police officers present in Ladhaut village. The officers kept trying to convince the family. It was assured that the copy of the FIR would be given on Thursday morning.

CM’s OSD and officers arrived to give information about the FIR. Even late in the night, CM’s OSD Virendra Singh, ASP Shashi Shekhar and SDM Ashish Kumar reached Ladhaut village to give information about the FIR lodged. He held a closed-door meeting with the family members and was told that an FIR has been registered in the matter. Efforts were made for a long time to convince the family for postmortem. Then late at night a consensus was reached.
Let us tell you that ASI Sandeep Lather had committed suicide by shooting himself with a service revolver on the roof of a shed built in his maternal uncle’s farm on Dhamad Road at around 1 pm on Tuesday afternoon.
