The second round of peace talks in Istanbul ended in 1 hour between Russia and Ukraine on Monday. Earlier, the delegation of the two countries was found in Istanbul on 16 May, even then there was a 2 -hour conversation between the two.
The talks took place at a time when Ukraine attacked a large -scale drone in Siberia, Russia a few hours earlier. When asked about this, the Russian delegation said that wait for tomorrow.

Russia-Ukraine interacted at 4 points in Istanbul on 16 May
- Prisoner exchange: The two countries agreed to exchange 1-1 thousand prisoners after a conversation between Russian and Ukrainian delegations in Istanbul on 16 May. After which both of them released prisoners.
- Ceasefire: Ukraine had demanded a 30 -day ceasefire, but Russia did not accept it. Russia laid the condition that Ukraine would have to retreat completely from four areas (Donatesk, Luhansk, Japorizia, Kherason), with about 1.1 crore Ukrainian citizens. Which was rejected by Ukraine.
- peace agreement: Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan had said that both countries are ready to meet again, but no new date was decided. Russia asked Ukraine to drag the peace agreement.
- Region control: Security guarantee and restrictions were discussed between the two countries, but no consensus was reached. Russia demanded control of Crimea and other occupied areas, while Ukraine emphasized protecting its sovereignty.
Russia agreed- Ukraine has an aircraft on 5 airbase
The Russian Ministry of Defense admitted on 1 June that 5 military airbase across the country was targeted in Ukraine’s drone attacks, damaging several aircraft. However, the exact figure of how many aircrafts have been damaged have not been stated.
In its statement, the Russian Ministry of Defense accused Ukraine that it launched a terrorist attack on the airports located in Murmansk, Irkutsk, Ivanovo, Rayajan and Amur areas with a FPV (First Person View) drone. The ministry said that all terrorist attacks on military airbase in Ivanovo, Ryajan and Amur regions were thwarted.
For the first time, it has also been officially confirmed that some drone attacks were carried out at very close to the airbase. According to Russian officials, the Murmansk region’s Olenogorsk Airbase and Irqutsk (Siberia) Sredni Airbase were targeted by launching drones from nearby areas with the help of trailer trucks.
