This warehouse is spread over about 2 lakh square meters. In the pictures that surfaced, a large part of the building appeared to be in the grip of fire. Black smoke was seen rising far into the sky.

Russia’s Defense Ministry said that it has shot down 9 Ukrainian cruise missiles and a total of 1,478 drones in the last 24 hours. Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said that about 600 drones were fired towards the capital. He described it as the biggest air attack on Moscow in the last two years.

Zelensky said – Russia is targeting civilian areas

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky accused Russia of targeting civilian areas and infrastructure. Zelensky said that Russia is attacking civilian infrastructure in areas within its reach.

According to him, in the last one week, Russia fired more than 1,550 drones, about 1,560 guided bombs and 62 missiles on Ukrainian cities and other areas. A large number of these were ballistic missiles.

Stopping ballistic missiles is a big challenge for Ukraine

Ukraine has been largely successful in stopping slow-moving drones. But stopping fast moving ballistic missiles is a big challenge for it.

America’s Patriot air defense system plays an important role in stopping such missiles. However, due to continuous Russian attacks, Ukraine’s stock of these interceptor missiles has become limited.

However, Zelensky has appealed to the US and European countries to immediately send interceptor missiles of the Patriot air defense system. He said that these missiles are to save people’s lives, so instead of keeping them in warehouses, they should be sent to Ukraine.

Ukraine increases attack capability up to 1,500 miles

Ukraine plans to rapidly expand its long-range drone and missile capabilities in 2026. According to The Guardian report, it is now capable of targeting targets up to 1,500 miles away from Russia’s border.

Ukraine is attacking Russia’s warehouses, oil refineries, ports and military bases with these weapons. For the first time in the war, Russia’s long-range attack capability is being severely challenged.

There is also increasing pressure on the air defense systems of both the countries, i.e. the systems that prevent air attacks.

Why is Ukraine targeting Russian company Wildberries?

Over the past month, Ukraine has targeted several buildings and facilities associated with Wildberries. The company plays a big role in Russia’s online business and its distribution centers are spread across the country.

It has come to light that about 20 warehouses and other buildings were targeted in the Ukrainian attacks. According to The Guardian, the purpose of such attacks may be to increase pressure on Russia’s supply chain and economy.
