The 2013 blockbuster film Ranjhana has been re-resurrected from 1 August under its Tamil Title Ambikapathi. However, the climax of this re-relief film has been completely changed with AI (Artificial Intelligence). While Kundan (Dhanush) dies in Climax in the real film, the film will have a happy ending in the new climax. This change has provoked the director of the film Anand L. Rai. He has not only objected to this, but has reprimanded the production team for changes without permission.
Anand L. Rai wrote from his official Instagram account, ‘The last three weeks have been very strange and deeply sad for me. Raanjhana, a film that originated from sensitivity, conflict, cooperation and creative risk, was replaced, re -packed and re -released without my knowledge or consent. This experience was very painful for me. And the thing that makes it even worse is that all this has been done with ease and carelessness. ‘

Further, the director wrote, ‘Nevertheless, the support and solidarity that got from the film industry, audience and creative community, reminded me that Raanjhana was finally about what, association, courage and truth. I am heartily grateful for this. I want to say it with full clarity- I do not support this AI-changed version of Raanjhana, nor accept it. It is completely unauthorized. I have no role in this. Nor of the team that made this film. This film was not just a project for us. It was made up of human hands, with human flaws and emotions. What is being broadcast now is not a tribute, it is an irresponsible grab, which completely destroys our work spirit. ‘

Anand further wrote, ‘The idea that a machine takes our work, change it, and present it in the name of innovation, it is very humiliating. Covering the emotional heritage of a film into an artificial cover is not a creative act, it is an open betrayal. I am speaking on behalf of all those who gave life to this film, writer, artist, musician, lyricist, editor, technician and the entire team. None of us were consulted. Nobody was heard. If Ranjhana had made you feel something, as it got us done, then please know that this version was changed by AI, this version does not reflect the true soul of that film nor is it the raanna made by us. ‘

The film Ranjhana was released in 2013.
