Rahul said that the stage was purified after his speech in Haldwani, Uttarakhand. Prime Minister should take action against the culprits. Dalits have been oppressed for centuries. There is a fight between two ideologies in the country.
Know the Haldwani meeting and what happened after that… Kharge’s meeting was held on August 8 at Ramlila Maidan in Haldwani. After this, some Hindu organizations claimed to purify the stage by performing yagya there.
The organizers said that the religious platform was used for political statements and decorum was not maintained there, hence purification was done. It has nothing to do with caste.
Kharge raised this issue in Parliament during the monsoon session and, linking it to his Dalit identity, demanded action against the culprits under the SC-ST Act. Congress leaders including Rahul termed it as casteist thinking of BJP-RSS.

Thousands of Dalits are tortured every day. Our party president goes to the temple, but there he is purified. He has given his life to this country. Bihar CM Manjhi ji goes to the temple, the same thing happens there too. This is a crime.
