Rahul Gandhi had held election rallies in Ramban and Anantnag in Jammu and Kashmir on September 4.
Leader of Opposition and Congress MP Rahul Gandhi will address two election rallies in Jammu and Kashmir on Monday, September 23. Rahul will address the first rally at Surankote in Poonch at 11 am. This will be followed by a second rally in Shalteng constituency in Srinagar at 2 pm.
Rahul will appeal for votes for Congress-National Conference alliance candidate Shahnawaz Choudhary in Surankot. He will seek support for Congress state president Tariq Hameed Karra in Srinagar.
The campaign for the second phase of the Jammu and Kashmir assembly elections is ending on September 23. Voting will be held for 26 seats in the state on September 25. Apart from Rajouri and Poonch in the Jammu region, voting will take place in Srinagar, Budgam and Ganderbal districts of the Kashmir region.

Out of 90 seats, Congress is contesting on 32 seats and NC on 51 seats Jammu and Kashmir elections are going to be held in 3 phases on 18 September, 25 September and 1 October. The results will be declared on 8 October. Congress and National Conference have formed an alliance in Kashmir. Out of 90 seats, NC is contesting on 51 seats and Congress on 32 seats.
There will be a friendly fight on 5 seats. 2 seats have been won by CPI (M) and Panthers Party. Congress has decided the names of 40 star campaigners. These include the names of Mallikarjun Kharge, Sonia and Priyanka.
BJP is contesting 62 out of 90 seats BJP has announced candidates for 62 out of 90 seats in Jammu and Kashmir. BJP has fielded candidates on all 43 seats in Jammu division. The party is contesting 19 out of 47 seats in Kashmir. BJP will support independent candidates on the remaining 28 seats.
Assembly elections are being held in Jammu and Kashmir after 10 years

Assembly elections are going to be held in Jammu and Kashmir after 10 years. This is the first assembly election after the removal of Article 370 in 2019. There are 90 assembly constituencies in Jammu and Kashmir, out of which 7 are reserved for Scheduled Castes and 9 for Scheduled Tribes.
Voting will be held in three phases for 90 seats. The first phase will be held on September 18, the second phase on September 25 and the third phase on October 1. The results will be declared on October 8. According to the Election Commission, there are 88.06 lakh voters here.
In the 2014 assembly elections, the BJP had won 25 seats. The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) had won 28 seats, the Jammu and Kashmir National Conference (NC) 15 and the Congress 12 seats.
