A new twist has come in the case related to allegations of alleged sexual exploitation of minor disciples against Shankaracharya Swami Avimukteshwaranand Saraswati. Complainant Ashutosh Brahmachari has claimed that he had filed this case under pressure and has now called it a ‘fake case’. Ashutosh said, ‘Fake FIR was lodged under the pressure of Ramchandra Das.’
In a video message released on social media, Ashutosh Brahmachari alleged that Mahant Ramchandra Das of Mathura-based Dev Ashram was pressurizing him. Swami Avimukteshwarananda A complaint was lodged against. He said that he was misled and some officials also had a role in this entire process.
Ashutosh Brahmachari claimed that he has WhatsApp chats and other evidence which will prove how and under what circumstances the complaint was filed. He said that he will soon make these evidence public.
Called Ramchandra Das a hypocrite and a fraud
He made serious allegations against Ramchandra Das and called him a hypocrite and a fraud. Also alleged that Ramchandra Das has allegedly taken illegal possession of Dev Ashram by preparing a fake will. In this regard, he also talked about giving a complaint to the Senior Superintendent of Police of Mathura. He warned that if the police did not take action, he would approach the court.
Ashutosh Brahmachari also alleged that a conspiracy was being hatched against his guru Jagadguru Rambhadracharya. He says that if any kind of harm occurs to his Guru, it will be the responsibility of Ramchandra Das.

At the same time, Jagadguru Rambhadracharya has also reacted to this entire incident. In a video message, he said that he was deeply saddened by the statement of Ashutosh Brahmachari. He feared that this could be part of a conspiracy to damage his and his successor’s image. Rambhadracharya also alleged that Ashutosh Brahmachari had a criminal history.
Demand for action against Ashutosh Brahmachari
Meanwhile, demand has also been raised for a CBI investigation into the matter. Pandit Dinesh Falahari, President of Shri Krishna Janmabhoomi Sangharsh Trust, Mathura, has written a letter to Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath demanding a CBI investigation into the matter and strict action against Ashutosh Brahmachari. He alleged that Ashutosh Brahmachari had been creating controversies in the past also by making false allegations against saints and other people.

It is noteworthy that in January 2026, Ashutosh Brahmachari had filed a complaint against Swami Avimukteshwaranand Saraswati, his disciple Mukundanand Brahmachari and others. It was alleged in the complaint that minors were sexually exploited in the name of religious events and Guru Seva. After this, the special court of Prayagraj had directed the police to register an FIR under POCSO Act and other sections and conduct an independent investigation.
Later Allahabad High Court granted anticipatory bail to Swami Avimukteshwarananda. The court had barred both the parties in the case from giving statements to the media and directed them to cooperate in the investigation. After this, the Supreme Court also rejected the petition filed against his bail, due to which he got relief from arrest.
