The temperature has dropped across the country due to snowfall in the mountains and cold winds blowing towards the plain states. The minimum temperature in 4 cities of Rajasthan remained below 5 degrees Celsius on Wednesday.

This includes Mount Abu (Sikar), Sikar, Sirohi, Lunkaransar (Bikaner). Visibility became zero in Jaipur. The weather is expected to remain similar on Thursday also. There will be holiday in schools in 25 districts.

Here in Madhya Pradesh, it is extremely cold during the day as well as at night. On Wednesday, there was severe cold in more than a dozen districts of the north-eastern part including Chhatarpur. The lowest temperature of 15.4 degrees was recorded in Khajuraho.

On the other hand, severe cold and fog continues in Uttar Pradesh. Fog was seen in 35 cities including Agra, Moradabad, Aligarh on Wednesday morning. At the same time, there is an alert of dense fog in 38 districts including Varanasi-Meerut and Jhansi on Thursday. There will be cold day in 26 districts including Lucknow-Kanpur.

Light rain alert in Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, Punjab, Haryana.
