Voting is being held on 152 seats in the first phase in West Bengal and on all 234 seats in Tamil Nadu. Today many celebs including Rajinikanth, Kamal Haasan, Dhanush and Thalapathy Vijay voted in Chennai, Tamil Nadu.
Thalapathy Vijay’s party Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) is contesting alone on all 234 seats in the Tamil Nadu Assembly elections. Vijay himself is a candidate from Perambur and Tiruchirappalli East.

Rajinikanth left his home in Poes Garden in Chennai and reached the polling booth of Stella Maris School and voted.
Kamal Haasan arrived at Alwarpet School in Chennai with his daughter Shruti Haasan to cast her vote.
Actor Dhanush reached a polling station in Chennai to cast his vote.

Vikram Prabhu appealed to the youth to vote
Actor Vikram Prabhu appealed to the people to exercise their franchise after voting. He said that voting is the responsibility of every citizen and everyone should participate in it.
Vikram Prabhu said that increasing discussion about politics among the youth is a positive sign. According to him, it is important that the youth think about the future of the country and understand what kind of country they want. He expressed hope that this will increase awareness among the youth and motivate them to take responsible decisions.

Voting is being held on 152 seats in the first phase in West Bengal and on all 234 seats in Tamil Nadu. Till 11 am, 41.11% voting took place in Bengal and 37.56% voting in Tamil Nadu.
