Tarun’s elder brother Arun says that the woman called her family and people nearby. After some time, 20-25 people gathered and fighting started. Tarun was not at home at that time. He had gone to play Holi with friends. When he returned, some people surrounded him. Within no time the dispute turned into a violent clash. The people of the woman’s house overpowered Tarun. Started beating him with sticks and rods. Tarun was seriously injured. He was admitted to the hospital, but died during treatment. Police have so far arrested 7 people in this case, including a minor. The accused have been identified as Umardin (49), Jummadin (36), Kamaruddin (36), Mustaq (46), Muzaffar (25), Tahir (18) and a minor. A case has been registered against the accused under various sections of murder and SC/ST. Vishwa Hindu Parishad demonstrated, after the arson incident in front of the house, on Friday, workers of Bajrang Dal and Vishwa Hindu Parishad demonstrated near Uttam Nagar East Metro Station. The road was blocked and traffic was affected for several hours. Police also used mild force to remove the protesters. During this time, a car and a motorcycle parked in the area were set on fire. The fire brigade reached the spot and controlled the fire. Seeing the situation, the police started drone surveillance in the area, deployment of additional police force and continuous patrolling.
