Many states of the country are scorching with scorching heat. Banda in Uttar Pradesh was the hottest city in the country on Sunday with a temperature of 46.4°C. The mercury was recorded at 44.6°C in Jhansi and 44.5°C in Prayagraj. The temperature in the capital Lucknow was 41.6°C, which is 1.4 degrees more than normal.

The mercury remained above 43°C in 15 cities of Madhya Pradesh and 7 cities of Rajasthan. Khandwa in MP was the hottest in the state at 44.5°C. According to the Meteorological Department, the temperature in Rajasthan may increase by 2 to 3°C this week. In some areas the temperature can reach 45 degrees.

Here, there are two types of weather in Bihar. In many districts, people are troubled by the humid heat, while at some places it is raining. 27 girl students fainted and fell down during prayer on Saturday evening at Kasturba Gandhi Girls School in Shekhpura. Everyone has been admitted to Sheikhpura Sadar Hospital.

  • There is a possibility of heat wave in Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, Madhya Pradesh, Punjab, Rajasthan, Telangana and Maharashtra.
  • Lightning and rain with strong winds at the speed of 40 to 50 km per hour are expected in Andhra Pradesh, Bihar, West Bengal, Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Kerala, Odisha and Tamil Nadu.
