Actress Krystle D’Souza has reacted to the speculations about replacing Tamannaah Bhatia in the song Shararat from the film Dhurandhar. Crystal said that she was not aware of any such thing and she only has respect for Tamanna.

The song Shararat in the film has been filmed on TV actress Krystle D’Souza and actress Ayesha Khan.

Speaking to IANS, Krystle said that she was not aware of any discussion behind the scenes. He said, “Whatever has to happen, happens.” According to him, he and Ayesha got this opportunity automatically.

The song Shararat has been written and composed by Shashwat Sachdeva. Jasmine Sandlas and Madhubanti Bagchi have given their voices to it.

Krystle said, “I had no idea about all this. Tamanna is very amazing, beautiful and very good at her work. All the best to her moving forward. Whatever is destined for someone, he gets it. This song was written for me and Ayesha and we got it. This does not diminish Tamanna’s beauty or her ability.”

She also said that if Tamanna had done this song, she would have definitely brought her own sparkle to it. Crystal said that she is proud of every woman who is doing good work and supporting each other.

The choreographer also rejected the speculations

At the same time, choreographer of this song Vijay Ganguly had also clarified on Instagram that Tamannaah Bhatia was never selected for this song.

While posting the story on his Instagram, Vijay Ganguly wrote,

Tamannaah Bhatia was never considered for this scene because her star power was so much that she would have overshadowed the needs of the scene. The music in Dhurandhar is a part of a high-tension moment, where tension is of utmost importance. Therefore, the makers chose two performers, so that the focus remains on the progress of the story. This decision was to maintain the atmosphere of the film and ensure that the hero in this scene remained the story.

He also pointed out how words are introduced to sensationalise and words like rejection are used.

I really love talking about cinema and how many layers go into making a film, but sometimes I stop myself from speaking openly because words are cherry-picked, misrepresented or sensationalized to make headlines, not to serve the purpose. Sadly, instead of discussing the prank song and its creative intent, the focus shifted to comparing the two talented artistes. Even heavy words like “rejection” were used, although there was no intention to say anything like that.

In his story, Vijay Ganguly had also said that cinema is a teamwork. It runs on respect, understanding and context. Hopefully the focus remains where it should be, on the work and the people who put their hearts into making it.
