The number of days with poor to severe levels of pollution has increased from 87 to 110 during this period. Air Quality Index (AQI) above 200 is considered ‘poor’ and above 401 is considered ‘severe’.
How much pollution from stubble in Delhi: According to data presented by the Center for Science and Environment (CSE) on November 6, 30.34% of Delhi’s pollution is due to local causes, of which 50.1% is due to transport. Furthermore, 34.97% of the pollution comes from districts around NCR and 27.94% from other areas. The contribution of stubble burning to the total pollution of Delhi is only 8.19%.
