1. 18 people died in a plane crash in Nepal, the plane had taken off for testing after repairs
The plane crashed shortly after taking off from Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu, Nepal.
18 people died in a plane crash in Nepal’s capital Kathmandu. The injured pilot Captain M. Shakya has been taken to the hospital in critical condition. The plane was going from Kathmandu to Pokhara. The plane took off from Tribhuvan Airport at around 11 am on Wednesday. It crashed shortly after this. The 9N-AME plane belonged to Saurya Airlines. Out of the people killed in the accident, 17 were staff of Saurya Airlines, while the remaining 2 were crew members. Out of the 18 people killed in the accident, three are from the same family.
The plane was being tested: This 21-year-old plane was being taken for testing after repair. The people present in the plane were the company’s testing staff. Eyewitnesses present at the scene said that the plane was taking off from the southern end of the runway. Suddenly it jerked and caught fire. However, the reason behind the accident has not been revealed yet.
2. After reduction in tax, gold became cheaper by ₹ 4,000, selling at ₹ 69,194 per 10 grams
After the reduction in the custom duty (import tax) on gold and silver in the budget, gold has become cheaper by Rs 4000 and silver by Rs 3600 in 2 days. The government has reduced the custom duty on gold and silver from 15% to 6% in the budget. This is why the prices have fallen. On 24 July, the day after the budget, gold fell by Rs 408 to Rs 69,194. Silver, on the other hand, fell by Rs 22 to Rs 84,897 per kg. On 23 July, silver had fallen by Rs 3600.
Gold prices have increased by more than ₹5,500 this year: Since January this year, the price of gold has increased by Rs 5,842 per 10 grams. At the beginning of the year, it was at Rs 63,352, which is now at Rs 69,194 per 10 grams. On the other hand, silver was at Rs 73,395 per kg at the beginning of the year, which has now reached Rs 84,897 per kg. That is, silver has increased by Rs 11,502 this year.
3. Opposition said in Parliament- This government should save the budget, Kharge called Sitharaman Mataji
Nirmala Sitharaman said during the speech that in every budget, you do not get a chance to name every state of this country. Angered by this, the opposition staged a walkout.
On the third day of the monsoon session in Parliament, opposition MPs protested outside Parliament against the budget of the central government. INDIA Block leaders said that 90% of the country is missing from this budget. Only Bihar and Andhra Pradesh have been made happy, because the central government is running on the trust of the Chief Ministers here. This is the Modi government save budget. At the same time, Leader of Opposition in Rajya Sabha Mallikarjun Kharge called Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman Mataji. He said that Mataji is an expert in speaking. Sitharaman’s reply: On the opposition calling the budget discriminatory, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said that there is no opportunity to name all the states in the budget. Opposition leaders led by Congress are deliberately making such allegations so that people feel that their state has not received anything. This is not right.
4. A missile testing took place in Odisha, 10 thousand people from 10 villages were shifted, angry at getting less compensation
Phase-2 ballistic missile defense system testing was conducted in Balasore, Odisha on Wednesday. For this, more than 10 thousand people from 10 villages were shifted to safer places. They are being given Rs 300 per day as compensation. They have expressed their displeasure over this. The villagers said that a pond also comes in the launching range. The fishermen and agricultural laborers working here have not been given compensation yet. Regarding this, the villagers have submitted a memorandum to the SDM.
Police deployed for help: The shifted people have been kept in schools and temporary tents. Proper arrangements have been made for their food and drink here. Government officials and police have also been deployed to help the people. The missile was tested from Launch Pad-3 of Integrated Testing Range (ITR) at Chandipur in Balasore.
5. Shambhu border closed due to farmers’ protest will not open now, Supreme Court said- maintain status quo
Farmers had protested at Shambhu border in February to march to Delhi, but Haryana Police barricaded them and stopped them from going further. Earlier in 2020-21 also farmers had protested here. After this, the central government had withdrawn three bills.
The Shambhu border near Ambala between Haryana and Punjab will not open now. The Supreme Court has ordered to maintain the status quo. The court has proposed to form a committee to resolve the issue. In this regard, suggestions have been sought from the Punjab-Haryana government. The Supreme Court said that it is necessary to talk to the farmers. The state government should listen to them through some impartial people.
The High Court had ordered the opening of the border: Farmers have been camping at Shambhu border since February 13 with their demands. In such a situation, keeping security in mind, the Haryana government has closed the Shambhu border of Haryana and Punjab by putting barricades. Due to this, people are facing problems in commuting. On July 10, the Punjab and Haryana High Court had asked the state government to remove the barricades by July 24. The Haryana government has challenged this decision in the Supreme Court.
6. 10 years imprisonment, ₹1 crore fine for paper leak in Bihar; Bill passed by assembly
The Anti Paper Leak Bill has been passed by the Bihar Assembly. This bill will be implemented in the state after the signature of the Governor. According to this bill, now paper leak will be considered a serious crime. After the law is passed by the Assembly, non-bailable sections will be imposed on the accused in the paper leak case. If a person leaks the paper, he can be sentenced to 3 to 10 years. Also, a fine of 10 lakh to 1 crore rupees can be imposed.
DCP rank officer will investigate the case: These rules will be applicable to all the examinations conducted by the state government. Apart from this, any institution involved in paper leak will be blacklisted for 4 years. According to the bill, the paper leak case will also be investigated by an officer of DSP rank. Also, the state government can get the investigation done by any investigation agency.
7. After Hindus and Muslims, now Jain community claims Bhojshala in MP, says- this is our Gurukul
After Hindu and Muslim communities, now Jain community has also claimed Bhojshala of Dhar in Madhya Pradesh. Jain community has filed a petition in the Supreme Court on July 22 and has appealed to include the community as a third party. It has been said in the petition that the Supreme Court should also listen to the side of Jain community in this matter, because the idol in the British Museum is of Jain religion’s goddess Ambika, not of Vagdevi (Saraswati). Many idols have also been found in the scientific survey of ASI in Bhojshala, those too related to Jainism. Bhojshala belongs to the Jain community. The community should get the right to worship and it should be handed over to the Jain community.
Hindu and Muslim parties are also claiming their rights on Bhojshala: Bhojshala was originally built by King Bhoj in the 11th century. The Hindu side says that there is a temple of Maa Saraswati at this place. At that time, Muslims were allowed to offer namaz here for some time, but later they occupied the entire premises. Later a mosque was built there. At the same time, the Muslim side has been calling it Kamal Maula’s mosque.
High Court said- wait for the decision of Supreme Court: The hearing on the Bhojshala dispute by the Hindu side is going on in the High Court since May 2022. On March 21, 2024, the High Court ordered the ASI to conduct a survey. This survey lasted for 100 days. On July 15, the ASI presented the survey report in the High Court. The case was heard on July 22. The Hindu side told the court that a petition has been filed in the Supreme Court on their behalf. In this, citing the ASI report, a demand was made to give Bhojshala to the Hindu side. It is to be heard on July 30. After this, the High Court said that everyone will have to wait till the decision of the Supreme Court comes.
8. Australian woman gang-raped before Olympics in Paris, beaten up by 5 Africans, then phone snatched
The woman hid in a kebab restaurant to save her life. When the accused reached there, other customers beat him up badly.
5 people gang-raped an Australian woman during the Olympics starting on 26th July in Paris. This incident happened with the 25 year old woman in the Pagail district at midnight on 20th July. CCTV footage of the incident has surfaced, in which the woman is seen running towards a kebab restaurant.

As soon as he reaches the woman, she gets scared. On this, other customers present in the restaurant beat the accused. Then he runs away. The woman told that the accused also snatched her phone. The woman has booked a ticket to Australia to go back, but the police has asked her to stay in Paris itself, so that a proper investigation can be done.
