1. Omar Abdullah said- INDIA block should be abolished, it has neither agenda nor leadership.
Omar Abdullah said that no meeting has been held regarding India alliance after the Lok Sabha elections.
Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah talked about ending the India Alliance. He said, ‘No meeting has been held after the Lok Sabha elections. If this alliance was only till the Lok Sabha elections, it should be ended. It has neither any agenda nor any leadership.
Has there been a split in the alliance: INDIA. The last meeting of was held on 1 June 2024. After that, assembly elections have been held in Haryana, Jammu and Kashmir, Maharashtra and Jharkhand. After the defeat of the alliance in Haryana and Maharashtra elections, Mamata Banerjee had expressed her desire to lead the INDIA block. Shiv Sena (UBT), SP and NCP Sharad Pawar, who are part of the alliance, have also supported Mamata. Whereas SP, TMC and Shiv Sena (UBT) have supported APP in Delhi elections. 2. AAP complains about BJP in Election Commission; Demand to include Delhi’s Jat community in the Centre’s list
Kejriwal is contesting from New Delhi Assembly seat. He is facing competition from BJP’s Pravesh Verma and Congress’s Sandeep Dixit.
A delegation of AAP leaders, including former Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal, lodged a complaint against the BJP with the Election Commission. Accused BJP leader Parvesh Verma of distributing Rs 1100 to women. And appealed to raid Pravesh’s house. Kejriwal also wrote a letter to PM Modi to include Delhi’s Jat community in the Centre’s OBC list.
Voting on 70 seats of Delhi on 5th February: Voting will be held in a single phase on 70 assembly seats of Delhi on 5 February, the results will come on 8 February. 4. 11 cases of HMPV in the country: 8 year old child in Gujarat, 60 year old woman in UP positive. Cases of corona-like human metapneumovirus (HMPV) have increased to 11 in the country. Yesterday, the HMPV report of a 60-year-old woman in Lucknow, UP and a 7-year-old child in Himmatnagar, Gujarat came positive. Earlier, infected people were found in Maharashtra, Gujarat, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and West Bengal.
5. Farmer’s suicide on Haryana’s Shambhu border; Dallewal Jahan has been fasting unto death for 45 days.
The first picture is of farmer Resham Singh, who died in Rajindra Hospital, Patiala. In the second picture, the doctor is seen wiping the body of farmer leader Dallewal.
During the ongoing agitation on the Shambhu border of Haryana-Punjab, a farmer committed suicide by consuming sulfas. According to farmer leaders, the deceased Resham Singh was angry at the government not finding a solution despite the agitation for 11 months. Farmer leader Jagjit Singh Dallewal is on fast unto death for 45 days at Shambhu border itself. On the other hand, United Kisan Morcha (SKM) has announced its support to the farmers’ movement.
What is the future strategy of the farmers?
1. Will burn PM’s effigy: Farmers have planned to protest across the country on January 10. During this time the effigy of the Prime Minister will be burnt. Whereas on January 13, the day of Lohri, copies of the draft Agriculture Marketing Policy of the Central Government will be burnt.
