Mukesh Bhatt and Emraan Hashmi have done films like Footpath, Murder and Jannat together.
Film producer Mukesh Bhatt, breaking his silence on the news of delay in the release of his film Awarapan 2, said that the film is getting delayed because some work is still left on the film and not because they are afraid of bringing the film in theaters around the time of the film Dhurandhar 2.
Actually, Awarapan 2 is the sequel to the 2007 action-romantic drama film Awarapan, in which Emraan Hashmi was in the lead role. There were reports in the media that Awarapan 2 will not be released on 13th April, because the film Dhurandhar Part 2 and Yash’s film Toxic are releasing on 19th March.
Speaking to PTI, Mukesh Bhatt said that the release date of the film has now been shifted to May or June because Emraan Hashmi met with an accident during the shooting and had to undergo surgery.
Mukesh Bhatt also said, “Because of this he is not allowed to do action for 45 days. So all the action sequences will be shot later. I am not afraid of Dhurandhar 2 and Toxic at all.”

Mukesh Bhatt is the owner of Vishesh Films, he has produced many films like Jannat, Awarapan and Gangster.
According to the producer, Awarapan 2 still has a shooting schedule of about 20 days, which will be completed in Malaysia in March.
Directed by Aditya Dhar and starring Ranveer Singh, Dhurandhar is doing great and has earned more than Rs 1200 crore worldwide. At the same time, Kannada superstar Yash’s film Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-ups is one of the biggest films of 2026. This pan-India film is directed by Geetu Mohandas.
Awarapan was directed by Mohit Suri, while the sequel is being directed by Nitin Kakkar and written by Bilal Siddiqui. According to reports, Disha Patani and Shabana Azmi will also be seen in the film.
