He remembered Satish Shah as not just an actor but a wonderful person and friend. JD Majethia told that for Satish Shah, the character of ‘Indravadan’ was a symbol of his personality not only on screen but also in real life.

How Satish Shah was cast in the role of ‘Indravadan’

JD Majethia told that casting Satish Shah for ‘Sarabhai vs Sarabhai’ was not a long process. This role was the best for him. In this role, the gap between middle class and high society was to be presented in a humorous manner. He was playing the role of a father who did not hold back in teasing his son’s wife, but was very true and loving at heart. The script was narrated to Satish Shah and he immediately said yes.

JD Majethia said, “Even today I say that I don’t see anyone else in the role of Indravadan. His timing, spontaneity and acting were amazing. This role was made only for him.”

Talking about the environment on the set, JD Majethia said that the schedule of TV shooting is quite hectic, but Satish Shah had a rule that he would work in one shift. His discipline and professionalism were always respected. JD Majethia further added that his behavior on the sets was inspiring for everyone. Even during the 13-14 months of shooting, the atmosphere always remained happy and family-oriented.

Talking about the experience of ‘Sarabhai vs Sarabhai’, JD Majethia said that the first season ran for one and a half to two and a half years, while the second season ran for about one and a half months. Satish Shah’s simplicity, simplicity and humility impressed everyone. He loved food and spending time with friends and colleagues. He especially liked Gujarati food.
