A woman living in Wadala, Mumbai has accused a female massage therapist of assault. The woman had booked a massage therapist from an app-based company. Feeling uncomfortable, she canceled the massage session midway, after which the therapist abused and beat her. The police have registered a non-cognizable case against the therapist and started investigation. A video related to the incident is going viral on social media. According to the police, complainant Shehnaz Syed had booked massage service through the mobile app for the treatment of frozen shoulder problem. Female therapist Ashwini Vartapi reached his house. The complaint states that the woman felt uncomfortable due to the behavior of the therapist and the size of the massage bed he brought with him. After this she canceled the session and started demanding a refund. See three pictures… The female therapist got angry on the cancellation of the session. The woman alleges that the therapist got angry after hearing about the cancellation of the session. He first abused and then assaulted the woman inside the house. According to the complaint, the therapist pulled the woman’s hair, punched her in the face, scratched her with his nails and pushed her to the ground. The son of the woman who came to intervene was also manhandled. The son himself recorded the entire video. During the fight the woman called the police helpline. By the time the police arrived, the accused therapist had left from there. After this the victim went to the police station and lodged a formal complaint. Wadala police has registered a non-cognizable offense against the accused.
