Shiv Sena (UBT) will hold a rally at the historic Shivaji Park in Dadar, while Shinde will address the public at Azad Maidan in South Mumbai.
As assembly elections in Maharashtra approach, Chief Minister Eknath Shinde’s Shiv Sena and Uddhav Thackeray-led Shiv Sena (UBT) will stage a show of strength today.
Shiv Sena (UBT) will hold its rally at the historic Shivaji Park in Dadar, while Shinde will address his faction at Azad Maidan in South Mumbai at 5:30 pm. 2 lakh people are expected to gather in Shinde’s rally.
The tenure of the current assembly in Maharashtra ends on 26 November. Elections may be announced soon.

Shinde-led Shiv Sena has booked 3,000 private buses to transport its workers to the venue. Before the rallies, both the groups have released teasers. The Shinde-led group’s teaser shows a tiger tied with a rope to the Congress’s paw. Uddhav Thackeray is standing near Panje. After this, the animation shows Chief Minister Shinde cutting the rope with an arrow and freeing Shiv Sena (tiger) from his claws.
Shiv Sena (UBT) Teaser- Talks about burying traitors In its teaser, Shiv Sena (UBT) talks about saving the pride of Maharashtra and burying the traitors. The party here has targeted the MLAs who had rebelled against Uddhav Thackeray, due to which his government fell in Maharashtra. In the rally, Uddhav Thackeray is going to attack Shinde along with BJP.

In Maharashtra, there is a government of Mahayuti i.e. Shiv Sena, BJP and NCP Ajit Pawar faction. Anti-incumbency and division of votes among 6 big parties will be a big challenge for Sadhna Party.
In the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, out of 48 seats in Maharashtra, INDIA alliance got 30 seats and NDA got 17 seats. Of these, BJP got 9, Shiv Sena got 7 and NCP got only 1 seat. BJP lost 23 seats. NDA had got 41 seats in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections. In 2014 this figure was 42. That means less than half.
According to the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, BJP will be reduced to around 60 seats. In a survey of the opposition alliance, MVA i.e. Mahavikas Aghadi has been estimated to get 160 seats out of 288 seats in the state. Maratha movement is the biggest challenge for BJP. Apart from this, after the sabotage in Shiv Sena and NCP, people are in sympathy with Uddhav Thackeray and Sharad Pawar.

Maharashtra Election- Election Commission seeks reply from Chief Secretary-DGP: No transfer of 100 officers

The Election Commission has sought answers from the Chief Secretary and DGP of Maharashtra on non-compliance of the order.
