The first meeting between US President Donald Trump and New York City’s newly elected Mayor Zohran Mamdani took place at the White House on Friday.

It was believed that there could be a heated debate between Trump and Mamdani, but the atmosphere during the meeting was quite friendly. Praising Mamdani, Trump said that our meeting was very good and beneficial.

After meeting Mamdani, Trump said that the two may have different opinions on some issues, but a solution will definitely be found through talks. Trump said that either Mamdani will make him understand or he will make Mamdani understand, but in the end the decision will be what is good for New York.
