In ‘Mirzapur The Movie’, Pankaj Tripathi has played the lead character of Baahubali ‘Kaalin Bhaiya’ (Akhileshanand Tripathi).
Mirzapur The Movie collected ₹25.75 crore nett on the first day. After which it became the biggest opening film in the 25 year history of Excel Entertainment.
According to Sacknilk, the film has broken the record of Film Gold which had been standing for 8 years. Gold had earned ₹25.25 crore on the first day. In this way Mirzapur The Movie has created a new record by a margin of ₹0.50 crore.
Left behind Excel’s big films
Mirzapur The Movie has taken a better start than Excel Entertainment’s previous big films Gold, Raees, Gully Boy and Fukrey 3. It became the number-1 opener in the studio’s 25-year history.
The film’s opening is ahead of Raees by more than ₹5 crore, Gully Boy by more than ₹6 crore and Don 2 by more than ₹10 crore.
